Here is a work in progress, among many many others that are all over the place. A series of 3 tiles [ took pix with camera phone hence the double pix] to be mounted on some kind of piece of wood for hanging.

Wilson's First Christmas

Ok, so i made the dogs wear the silly antler ears...but they are slowly getting along and getting to know each other. ONe thing they have in common right away is MOOCHING!

off to NY and visiting the family...needless to say Christmas day was only partially relaxing, as i had to get ready for this trip as well as we had to figure out all the 'stuff' we need to take for two beasties...thanks for the invite Vick...just got too hard for us to get it all done and get out the door.

Thrash caving...

the new littlest dude, Wilson, napping. He was abused and a stray, saved by the local Boston Terrier Rescue. We think he was burned, and is very scared in his new environment. But we hope love will bring him around, Lord knows we are showing him much TLC.

My snuggly buggly..Thrash

Do I take too many pix of my little boy? I use the Mac Photo booth again [ as if you couldn't tell] to try and capture his mood. we were chair dancing, but he was overly mushy.

This is the part that makes it so hard to go on travel, or for that matter, get out of the bed in the morning. I highly recommend a bundle of snugly fur - it will lift your soul and brighten event he cloudiest of days!

Yeah, I know I look fat and I am, but there is nothing more satisfying than enjoying water sports with m y little boyz, Thrash. He likes the slower pace of the kayak as much as the jet ski, but we just can't get to the ducks yet, no matter how we try to sneak up

Office and the plants

More plants for the office! The pot on the left my mom gave me to take home to paint on this last trip. Wasn't till i looked at the bottom and saw her name and like 1985 on it that I realized that this was something she had made in the ceramics classes she used to go to . Mom's pot and krabie's art......loving reminder of her here in the office. And of course the other pot is one of the infamous Wild Women's done by the original Wild Woman !




this is one of the many calenders in my office....my other Boston Terrier calender is in my art studio at home. So no matter where I am sitting, I am always surrounded by my beloved Boston's :-) but I couldn't help post this page, since it is the exact PFD that Mr Thrash wears!

The surprise trip to NY this past weekend

So this past weekend, i took friday off and me and Thrash headed to Long Island to give the 'rents a surprise. I know Dad was having a hard time and I needed to get up there and find out what was going on. His health is not the greatest, but he is hanging in. But the during the 4th of July week, he got in a car accident. Not his fault, he was hit by a speeding car, but it really took the wind out of his sails.

So road warrior status --- and away we went. I called them when I got in the drive way, and as me and Thrash waited outside, I told them that there was an anniversary delivery right now. and to go get it....and there I was !


The backyard where I grew up...chipped wiffle golf balls, learned to pitch a hard ball before I ever knew there was such a thing as a softball, swam in an above ground pool, sat in the sun and spent the summer reading one book from the Tolkien trilogy..you get he picture.


the living room where many a Christmas was spent opening presents...and not much else has changed there, perhpas the slipcovers, in 40 or so years.
The den, or family room, also like the rest of the house, frozen in time. But Thrash has already made himself at home.

but first, a shout out to my friends and colleagues at Harris here in Melbourne. They did much to make it way easy to attend the meetings and took good care of me. I couldn't have asked for more !

Long short story - weather, competing meetings, snow, American Airlines, cancellations. Life sux'd yesterday, and the best laid plans went down the tubes. So I had to leave fuzzy boy behind in the capable hands of Kelley and Mike, our neighbors.
My anxiety has just about over taken me and I miss my little boy so much...and M & K have been great giving me Thrash updates and pix.

Thrash the explorer

thrash loves to play, eat, sniff , sleep and explore, esp if there are sunbeams involved. He also loves to stick his head thru the slats of railings and does this quite frequently at home. Here, however, he found a new vantage point at the lake house, and instead of coming when he was called he stuck his head thru , as if to say " You calling me?"

Snuggly Buggly.....

I got this dog cave thing from one of the catalogs. It won lots of awards because dogs like to know someone or something has their back. So they like to snuggly in with their back against something, and this little bed does the trick. At first, Thrash couldn't get the hang of it, and would be half in , half out. But yesterday, i went looking for him, and saw that the Thrash cave had a considerable lump and profile. Upon further investigation, viola ! there he was. I couldn't help how cute he looked, so yes , I took more doggie pix....

Ice Storms can be scary....

Took Several major power hits last night and the resulting 'Thuds' gave me and Thrash some pause. So after turning off most of the electronics, we retreated to the art room aka studio, where i have a little tv with an antenna to get some stations, and proceded to color away, not daring to turn on the computer. But after a while Thrash was wanting to be held, and I guess I was too, so i picked him up and just resigned myself to watching the little TV till we went to bed.



Trying to get a good picture of the snuggling, while one is also snuggled was kind of hard, but you sort of get the idea.

Thanksgiving 2007- NY and NJ

Thrash got to visit all his relatives this Thanksgiving. First, a few days in NY and as you can see he made himself right at home immediately.It was a good visit and some good home cooking, but every trip home makes me realize that my folks won't be here forever. The house needs so much work, realization way too late on my part that they could not afford nor have the energy to tackle all the projects needed. They are way too proud and independent and I don't know where to start. But I need to start somewhere, probably the first floor bathroom, and go from there.

Next we stopped at my brother and sister in law, and got to visit with everyone - Chris, Robin , the cats, and neice and nephew and their finacee's - Matt and Angela and Emily [Auntie Em, Autie Em, LOL] and Rob. And Thrashman got to visit with his new outlaw, Bella, and we had a small tuxedo convention !

You can see from below, she is still so tiny, and cute but gave Thrash quite a run for his money on who was king doggie! arf arf!
