Don't go Mommy...

My little boz jumped in the office chair, where my work computer is right now, after he saw me bring down my suitcase, getting ready to blast off for travel yet again. I lost track of him and when i walked in the office here at home, this is the sad face that greeted me.

He misses his mommy as much as mommy misses him....travel sux.

A t ypical English dinner

My friends here in Huntsville, Bill and Joyce B, invited me to the house for a 'typical' English dinner...and what an experience ! Meat, roasted potatoes, mashed turnips and carrots and in the back there, mushed peas! and oh yes, Yorkshire pudding, everything served with gravy.

And I must say, i enjoyed every morsel of it , plus the fact that I know Joyce busted butt to fix it for me and to showcase her native country's cuisine.

Food from the road

It's true that when you travel you always end up eating too much or eating fast food crap. Wake up, dress, hotel breakfast, meetings, lunch usually at fast food or sit down place, meetings, big meal or fast food...urg...

so last night in the big meal category, me and my colleagues went to a great little place called Paulis....steak and game and wonderful wine and escargot ! I forgot to take pix of the escargot but you get the idea of the steak, scallops and tuna we all had.

Kansas City - meetings and briefings

crammed into a meeting room in the Holiday Inn Conference and Suites in Overland Park aka Kansas City, my ability to draw, drink water, record notes on my laptop and just stay comfortable was limited. However, I did capture our moderator and meeting leader.

If you ever want evidence that this country is overweight, go to a meeting with government and their contractors. Polishing a seat with your butt tends to put the 'grease' down where it is needed. LOL.

ok, doesn't look like much, but trust me, there is a huge line for take off out there in line at JFK. Which is why I am sitting here in the Red Carpet Lounge at JFK after my flight has been delayed 2 hours and now i won't get in till 11 PM! and guess who had their spousal unit drive them to the airport coz the clutch and transmission in her jeep is fried? and guess who is whining about how early they get up and now have to stay up? talk about the me generation.

On the road yet again...

frustion on the airplane, with my knee still hurting and trying to read work stuff, I started doodling. Driving home from the lake, next day on an aircraft, I just hope that i get back home before Hanna gets to VA. I got art work to finish ! and i can't do it on the road, for sure.

frustrating meetings

Other than lounging on the deck of the hotel last nite and enjoying peace and quiet, for today there is a weekly jazz concert out there and i can enjoy it from my room, my meetings go 10 hours a day, and not sure how much progress we make...but tomorrow is the big presentation to the upper crust. another grueling day...urg.

The Aircast goes on travel

Having to spend the week once again in florida, i had to fly out on sunday. And since it takes me a long time to get anywhere, i started early to work my way to the departure gate. I got tired so stopped in the United Red Carpet Lounge to rest, get a soda and some snacks.

Also happy to report that the TSA scan of both the aircast and my hands were negative for any controlled substances....but the crutch had to go thru X ray along with my laptop.

in a btw, i've been remiss in posting as i have been just beat limping around each day and taking excruicating time to get anything done or get anywhere...then the iMac deicided to take a vacation - but toons and drawings will be back up when i return to my artistic liar on friday.

Crowne Plaza in Melbourne Florida

I got to Melbourne a bit early and no one around to bug me. Everyone headed for their respective hotels, and with the day so nice, i changed to the bathsuit and caught thet last bit of rays beaming to the beach. The wonderful sounds do much to soothe my soul and help focus the meditation.


A crab cake BLT on the the hotel deck and a few snaps with the camera, and then it was back up to the room to fight with a slow wireless connection and then to bed.

However, today it is a bit overcast, humidity is up and so is my hair, and i am stuck again in a room with no windows.......

Long short story - weather, competing meetings, snow, American Airlines, cancellations. Life sux'd yesterday, and the best laid plans went down the tubes. So I had to leave fuzzy boy behind in the capable hands of Kelley and Mike, our neighbors.
My anxiety has just about over taken me and I miss my little boy so much...and M & K have been great giving me Thrash updates and pix.

the middle seat ..again

Yes, I couldn't even upgrade to first class with my miles. and of course , the largest fellow on the plane had the window seat next to me, cramped and smushed in the "no rights for you" middle seat. arggggggggg....4 hours of misery to Denver.....How does this happen to me?

the world renown, YelloW Dog Cafe

The view walking to the Cafe, after production tour and meetings were over. Harris has its facility right off hwy 1 in Malabar. And about a mile up 1, was the Yellow Dog, right on the water. Great way to catch lunch right before the run back to Orlando Airort.

Even the bun has the logo stamped on it! and it was very yummy! An off course the obligatory spix of the Raider Crocs at the Orlando airport, waiting to come home.
