Hair rage

I thought of this on the way to work as i sat behind a car in traffic with some shaved heads in it. And I was thinking that now you see shaved heads on lots of guys...black, white, young , old. Lots of guys do this to look cool, many just to avoid looking like a guy who is losing his hair. Got me thinking to the good old days of the comb over, still prevalent on some older gents, and how it was the rage [along with copious quantities of hair spray!] - and it just struck me - what if some guy with a comb over was walking down the street into a strong wind, and really didn't know what the wind was doing?

it just seemed funny to me...

Thrash and the weekend

So we went to the lake this past weekend to take care of some chores and take the boat out one last time. Needless to say, Thrash was a bit chilled and was content to snuggly up against me and under the blankie.



On land however, he was content to find sunny spots and I couldn't resist taking the photo of him crashing out in the sun among the concrete friends I have on the deck.


He also found a favorite spot on top of the one fancy pillow and smack dab in the middle of the bed. But it really is his bed, now isn't it?

A weekend of working on projects

With my art room/studio a diasater of pens, paint, half finished projects I was determined that this weekend I would finish them, clean up and straighten up. Well, I almost got 1 out of 3! A sample of some of the finished work, in prep for a church crafts fair in Nov..

Studio is still a mess, the piles are surely different now.

Meet the new Puppy Grand Niece! -Bella

Matt and Angela also have a Boston, named Owen. Owen now has a baby sister to play with, so here she is - presenting Bella ! Thrash now has another distant relative and Grand Niece. If we got them all together , it'd be a Tuxedo Convention !

Serious Art..again

Ok, once again trying my hand at serious art and expressing my soul...along with trying to find my style, instead of being heavily influenced by the artist I happen to be looking at...

I prob should have taken more time to work on this, a criticism I have had before. I just can't seem to continue to work on a piece and make it better, i just finish it and move on. LOL.

what do you all think....crap, good or work on it ?

Sleepy fuzzy boyz...

Last nite, Thrash was playing with his stuffed squirrel and tossing it around. Time for bed, I called him upstairs and told him to get in bed. But no.....he bounced around some more, killing the ucky stuffed squirrel for the upteenth time. In the meantime, I logged on the computer and checked email and all that stuff. All of a sudden, it was quiet and I walked back in the bedroom and there he was - crashed out with his squirrel buddy where it lay, right by him, snuggling with it as best he could. I couldn't help myself, I retrieved the camera and captured my little son's snoozy moment.

Of course I am drinking 'leaded' coffee!

Can you tell how my weeks have been and how they will be going on for a while ? Coffee ! Coffee! I was so late this am, i had to re-schedule my dentist appt to fix the broken crown i have coz i just couldn't get out there in time. Well that gives me more time in the office to work, now don't ya know.

Btw - update on my co -worker with the stroke. He should be in Mt Vernon hospital [transfer] so he can undergo acute therapy, and whatever that entails. He has a positive attitude, has been speaking more. He has some movement in his right side. Please keep him in your prayers, as he has a rough road ahead. Thanks.
